Our Story
The journey of AIBG began in 1977 when Dr. Harub Al Kharusi established Harub Dental Surgery, the first private dental clinic in Oman. He was also the first Omani dental surgeon to start a private dental practice in the country.
In 1994, driven by his commitment to strengthening Oman’s healthcare infrastructure, Dr. Harub became a co-promoter of the first private hospital in the Sultanate. For more than four decades, he and his organizations have been dedicated to delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Oman.
Over time, AIBG expanded into a diversified healthcare group, including multi-disciplinary clinics, corporate wellbeing consulting, and other healthcare-related services.
In 2014, Advanced International Business Group (AIBG Medical) was established to provide world-class medical equipment and products to healthcare providers across Oman. Today, AIBG Medical is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of medical equipment and consumables in the Sultanate, supported by a team of experienced professionals driven by passion and excellence.

Founded: Dr. Harub establishes the first private dental surgery in Oman (Walja, Muscat).
Harub Dental Surgery relocates to a new facility in Qurum.
Co-promotion of Al Shatti Hospital, Oman’s first private hospital, in Shatti Al Qurum.
Dr. Mohammed Al Kharusi joins the organization; Al Harub Medical Center established in Shatti Al Qurum.
Launch of AIBG Medical Equipment & Supplies Division.
New Harub Dental Surgery branch opened in Shatti Al Qurum.
New Harub Dental Surgery branch opened in Al Mawaleh.

- Harub Dental Surgery, established in 1977, was the first private dental practice in Oman
- Dr Harub was a co-promoter of the first private Hospital of Oman in 1994, the Al Shatti Hospital
- Dr Harub has been involved in providing better healthcare services to the people of Oman through his hard work and dedication for more than 4 decades
- He is the Chairman of the board, and provides direction and guidance to our activities
- He is also involved actively in the various business, healthcare and social forums of Oman.
Managing Director
- Mohammed Al Kharusi, is responsible for day-today management of the AIBG group
- He is recipient of MBA degree from Strathclyde University of UK
- Prior to this, he had his medical degrees from University of Glasgow and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Mohammed Al Kharusi has put his efforts in the expansion of the AIBG group to encompass the allied divisions it has today.
